As in fundraising, attracting and keeping a donor is essential to an organization’s success. The membership committee is responsible for attracting new members and retaining existing members. The committee distributes membership information, serving as a resource to members on membership issues and marketing the chapter to targeted development professionals. Members can assist this committee by taking the initiative to invite potential members to meetings, directing them to our website and sharing the value of membership.

Coordinating the yearly program schedule, obtaining sponsorship for programs, booking venues for programs, taking reservations for programs, collecting fees and tallying the money received from programs/meetings are the chief duties of this committee.

Oversees all aspects of National Philanthropy Day on November 15th of each year. The committee seeks sponsorship, coordinates public relations, manages registration, hotel logistics, program, brochure and all communications related to the event.
